Reflection
Finally, we will take some time to reflect on what we’ve learned so far. There are no right or wrong answers for this portion of the module; it is based solely on participation.
Take a few minutes to consider:
- How do you identify? What are your own intersecting identities? (race, political beliefs, gender identity, sexuality, age, economic class, social status)
- How do different identities result in different experiences? Reflect on how your own status and identity may have given you privilege in certain settings, or set you back in others.
You may find it helpful to write down your reflection on paper or digitally. You are also encouraged to have discussions with people close to you and find out how they might interpret their relationships to intersectionality. When you feel ready, proceed to the next module.
